Pisces Full Moon Lunar Eclipse

What Is Your Heart Trying to Tell You?

There is something strangely confronting about a Full Moon.

Nothing new necessarily arrives. The light simply gets brighter.

You can look at the same relationship, the same job, the same habit, the same version of your life and suddenly see something you’ve been conveniently stepping around.

And this Full Moon has another layer.

On Friday 28 August 2026, we have a Full Moon in Pisces, together with a partial lunar eclipse.

For us here in Brisbane, the Full Moon is exact at 2:18 pm.

A Full Moon illuminates.

A lunar eclipse puts part of that illumination into shadow.

And I think that’s exactly where we need to begin.

What does a Full Moon actually do?

Astronomically, a Full Moon happens when the Moon is opposite the Sun from Earth’s perspective, allowing us to see its illuminated face.

Astrologically, the Full Moon represents culmination, awareness and illumination.

Things become visible.

Something reaches fullness.

We notice what has developed.

That’s why I don’t particularly love the idea that every Full Moon requires you to dramatically purge half your life, burn a list in the backyard and announce you’ve entered your new era. 😂

Sometimes the most useful thing you can do under a Full Moon is notice.

What has changed?

What feels different?

What are you tolerating?

What are you forcing?

And perhaps most importantly:

What do you know now that you didn’t know before?

Then Pisces enters the story

Pisces is a water sign associated with intuition, compassion, imagination, spirituality, sensitivity and surrender.

And sitting opposite this Pisces Full Moon is the Sun in Virgo.

That’s where it gets interesting.

Virgo wants to analyse.

Pisces wants to feel.

Virgo asks:

What are the facts?

Pisces asks:

What does my heart know?

Neither is wrong.

In fact, I think we need both.

Your intuition shouldn’t require you to abandon common sense. And logic shouldn’t require you to ignore every signal your emotions, body and inner knowing are giving you.

Sometimes you’ve analysed something to death.

You’ve made the pros and cons list.

You’ve asked everyone what they think.

You’ve Googled it.

You’ve probably asked ChatGPT. 😂

And underneath all of that noise, there’s still that quiet little voice saying:

You already know.

Now put a lunar eclipse on top of it

A lunar eclipse happens when Earth moves between the Sun and Moon, causing Earth’s shadow to fall across the Moon.

This one is a partial lunar eclipse.

And I love the symbolism of that.

The Moon hasn’t disappeared.

Something has moved between us and the light.

Sometimes that’s exactly what happens in our own lives.

Your intuition hasn’t disappeared.

Your confidence hasn’t disappeared.

Your creativity hasn’t disappeared.

Your ability to love hasn’t disappeared.

Your sense of purpose hasn’t necessarily disappeared either.

Sometimes there’s simply something sitting between you and it.

An old belief.

Fear.

Someone else’s expectations.

A relationship you’ve outgrown.

A habit that once protected you.

A version of yourself you’ve become incredibly good at performing.

An eclipse shows you what hides in the shadows.

Not so you can judge it.

So you can finally see it.

What are you pretending you don’t know?

This is where I’d actually work with this eclipse.

Not by immediately trying to manifest something new.

Start with honesty.

Give yourself some time without your phone, television, podcasts or somebody else’s opinion filling the space.

And here’s something you might not expect me to say.

Don’t immediately meditate either.

We’re so accustomed to doing something spiritual that sometimes even spirituality becomes another distraction.

Sit.

Walk.

Swim.

Paint.

Watch the water.

Make a cup of tea.

Do something repetitive with your hands.

Then notice what comes up when you stop feeding your brain information.

Take a piece of paper and write:

If I stopped pretending I didn’t know, what would I admit?

Don’t write what you should feel.

Don’t write what’s spiritually appropriate.

Don’t write something because it makes you sound healed, evolved or enlightened.

Write the truth.

Maybe it’s:

I don’t want this anymore.

I’m exhausted.

I’m jealous.

I actually want more.

I need to apologise.

I’m staying because leaving scares me.

I’m successful, but I’m not happy.

I love this person, but this relationship isn’t working.

I’ve outgrown this.

I already know what I need to do.

That’s shadow work I can get behind.

Because sometimes what we’re calling confusion isn’t actually confusion.

We know. We just don’t particularly like the answer.

Your emotions are information

If you’re feeling more emotional, don’t automatically decide the Moon is doing it to you.

Get curious instead.

What is this emotion pointing towards?

Maybe you’re irritated because a boundary keeps being crossed.

Maybe you’re sad because something genuinely needs grieving.

Maybe you’re restless because you’ve outgrown something.

Maybe you’re exhausted because you’ve spent months overriding what your body has been telling you.

Maybe you’re jealous because somebody else is doing something you secretly want for yourself.

That doesn’t mean every emotion should make your decisions for you.

But emotions can contain information.

Feel it.

Write it down.

Sleep.

Come back to it.

Not every intense feeling is intuition.

Fear can be bloody loud.

Old patterns can be convincing.

Intuition is often much simpler.

You just know.

Now look at where your energy is actually going

Once you’ve admitted what you already know, don’t rush off and try to change your entire life by Monday morning.

Do something much more useful.

For 24 hours, observe your energy.

Don’t change anything.

Just notice.

Who gets your energy?

What gets your energy?

What drains it?

What expands it?

What do you repeatedly complain about but continue choosing?

Where do you say yes when you mean no?

What are you giving hours of thought to that you don’t actually want in your future?

And here’s the uncomfortable one:

What do you say you want while behaving in the opposite direction?

That’s valuable information.

Because your life isn’t only being shaped by what you desire.

It’s being shaped by what receives your attention, decisions, time and behaviour.

Manifestation isn’t just about what you’re asking for.

It’s also about what you’re repeatedly participating in.

Then work with the Pisces water

Pisces is associated with water, so yes, have your salt bath, swim in the ocean or sit beside the water if that feels good.

But I’d use water differently this time.

Put a bowl of water in front of you.

Make sure it’s completely still.

Then put your finger into the water and move it once.

Watch what happens.

One tiny movement creates ripples well beyond the place you touched.

Now ask yourself:

Where would one small deliberate change create the biggest ripple in my life?

Not twenty changes.

One.

One boundary.

One conversation.

One application.

One hour a week devoted to something you love.

One person you stop chasing.

One habit you stop feeding.

One decision you’ve been postponing.

One thing you finally begin.

We can make manifestation far too complicated.

You don’t necessarily need to reinvent yourself.

Sometimes you change one input and watch what happens to everything connected to it.

And please, bring some joy back into it

We spend so much time talking about healing, shadow work, trauma, blocks, wounds and releasing that spirituality can start sounding like a bloody unpaid internship. 😂

You are allowed to enjoy being alive.

Actually, I think that’s something worth looking at during this Pisces Full Moon too.

When was the last time you did something purely because you loved doing it?

Not because it was productive.

Not because you could monetise it.

Not because it improved you.

Not because it was good content.

And definitely not because it was going to raise your vibration enough for the Universe to send you a new car. 😂

Paint badly.

Dance.

Get in the ocean.

Buy flowers.

Cook something ridiculous.

Watch the sunrise.

Make something.

Laugh until your stomach hurts.

Do it because you like it.

Joy is a life experience too.

So what is your heart trying to tell you?

Maybe the biggest question of this Pisces Full Moon Lunar Eclipse isn’t:

What do I need to manifest?

Maybe it’s:

What am I finally ready to stop pretending I don’t know?

Because once you’ve answered that, the next questions become much simpler.

Where is my energy actually going?

And:

What’s one deliberate change I can make from here?

Remember the water.

You don’t have to move the whole ocean.

One movement creates a ripple.

One honest conversation.

One boundary.

One decision.

One application.

One hour reclaimed for yourself.

One choice that finally matches what your heart has been trying to tell you.

The past has happened.

You can understand it.

Forgive it.

Learn from it.

Grieve it.

Even love parts of it.

But you don’t need to keep recreating it simply because it’s familiar.

At some point, healing has to become living.

So listen to your heart.

Notice what’s been sitting in the shadows.

Make one deliberate move.

Then let the ripple begin.

Because “I’m OK” isn’t the same thing as “I bloody love my life.”

And sometimes we forget we’re allowed to want the second one. 💫

Live deliberately.
