There is a strange bit of space between eclipses that I have started calling the in between.
We have just come through the total solar eclipse in Leo on 13 August Brisbane time, and we haven’t yet reached the partial lunar eclipse in Pisces on 28 August. Astronomically, those are two real eclipses separated by just over two weeks. Astrologically, this is what many of us call eclipse season.
And if you’ve felt a little bit like you’re standing with one foot in the old version of your life and one foot somewhere you can’t quite see yet… yep. Welcome to the in between.
But I don’t think this part is meant to be rushed.
Leo has been loud this month. It has asked us to look at identity, visibility, courage, ego, confidence and the question of who we are prepared to become. Jupiter is also travelling through Leo, so there has been plenty of big energy around growth, possibility and wanting more.
But now the mood starts changing.
Not because the magic has disappeared.
Because it’s time to find out what we’re actually going to do with it.
We’re leaving Leo, but don’t rush the ending
As we move through the final days of Leo season, I want you to think about the last few weeks.
What got your attention?
What triggered you?
What made you excited?
What made you uncomfortable?
What suddenly became impossible to ignore?
And maybe most importantly, what did you learn about yourself?
Because this is where manifestation can get a bit twisted.
We are very good at asking, What do I want next?
New relationship. More money. Bigger business. New house. Travel. Opportunity. Purpose. Whatever it is.
But sometimes the better question is:
What did the life I’m living right now just teach me?
There is no point racing towards the next manifestation while dragging the same beliefs, habits, boundaries and decisions behind you.
That’s not moving forward. That’s taking your old luggage to a new destination. 😂
Then Virgo walks in with a clipboard
The Sun moves into Virgo on Sunday 23 August at approximately 12:19 pm AEST in Brisbane.
And I actually love the timing of this.
Because after all that Leo fire, Virgo walks into the room and basically says:
Cool. But what are we actually keeping?
Virgo is traditionally associated in astrology with discernment, routines, work, health, service and the details of everyday life.
I prefer to think of it as harvest energy.
You planted things.
Some grew.
Some didn’t.
Some looked bloody magnificent from a distance but have absolutely no roots underneath them.
And some quiet little thing you’ve barely paid attention to might actually be the thing worth nurturing.
So don’t make Virgo season about becoming more perfect.
Make it about becoming more deliberate.
Look at your actual life rather than the life you talk about creating.
Look at your calendar.
Your bank account.
Your relationships.
Your body.
Your business.
Your home.
Your habits when nobody is watching.
Where is your energy going?
Because manifestation doesn’t only happen when you’re meditating, visualising or writing intentions. You’re participating in it through the decisions you’re making on a random Tuesday afternoon too.
Try this before you manifest anything new
Pick one thing you want.
Now ask yourself:
If this arrived tomorrow, does my current life actually have somewhere for it to land?
That’s a cracker of a question.
Want more clients? Is there room in your business to serve them?
Want a relationship? Is there emotional room for another person, or is half of you still negotiating with the past?
Want more money? Are you willing to look at how you currently handle money?
Want more peace? What are you continuing to say yes to that steals it?
This isn’t about blaming yourself for what you haven’t manifested.
It’s about recognising where you actually have power.
Mercury joins Virgo and the fog starts clearing
Mercury moves into Virgo on Tuesday 25 August, around 9:04 pm AEST Brisbane time.
In astrology, Mercury is associated with thinking, communication, information and decisions, and Virgo is one of the signs traditionally ruled by Mercury.
So this is where I would use the energy to edit.
Not add.
Edit.
That email you’ve been avoiding? Answer it.
The conversation you’ve rehearsed 47 times in the shower? Maybe it’s time to actually have it.
The business offer that takes enormous energy and barely moves the needle? Look at it.
The commitment you keep resenting but keep agreeing to? There’s information in that resentment.
And please don’t fill every empty space you create with something new.
Sometimes creating space is the manifestation work.
Then we reach the Pisces eclipse
On Friday 28 August, there is a Full Moon and partial lunar eclipse in Pisces.
The greatest phase of the eclipse occurs at approximately 2:12 pm AEST. From Brisbane, the Moon is below the horizon at that point, so this isn’t an eclipse you’re going to stand outside and watch at maximum.
The astrological Full Moon itself occurs a few minutes later, around 2:18 pm AEST, at approximately 4°53′ Pisces, opposite the Sun in Virgo.
And this is where our story changes again.
Virgo says:
What can I fix?
Pisces asks:
What if this isn’t mine to fix anymore?
That’s a very different question.
For me, this isn’t the Full Moon to throw another ten manifestations onto your wish list.
It’s the one where you look at what you’re still gripping.
The outcome you’re trying to control.
The person you’re waiting to change.
The version of yourself you’re trying desperately to repair.
The timeline you decided your life was supposed to follow.
The thing that has already ended energetically but you’re keeping alive because letting go feels scarier than staying stuck.
That’s where I would work.
But releasing doesn’t mean giving up on manifesting
This is important.
Release is part of manifestation.
We sometimes talk about manifestation as though the only movement is towards something.
More. Bigger. Next.
But deliberate creation also requires knowing when to stop feeding something.
So here’s what I want you to physically do during this in-between period.
Take a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle.
On the left write:
THIS NEEDS MY PARTICIPATION
On the right:
THIS NEEDS MY SURRENDER
Now start writing.
Be brutally kind with yourself.
Not brutal. Brutally kind.
Maybe your finances need participation.
Maybe someone else’s opinion of you needs surrender.
Your health might need participation.
The exact timeline of your manifestation might need surrender.
Your business strategy might need participation.
The belief that everybody has to understand your choices might need surrender.
See the difference?
One side requires action.
The other requires trust.
Manifesting gets bloody exhausting when we confuse the two.
Do the Virgo work first
Between 23 and 27 August, I’d work primarily with the participation side.
Choose one to three things.
Not twenty.
Send it.
Book it.
Cancel it.
Organise it.
Research it.
Have the conversation.
Change the routine.
Create the boundary.
Take one real-world action that tells the universe, Creator, Spirit and, importantly, yourself:
I’m participating in the life I’m asking for.
Then, as we move into the eclipse on the 28th, turn towards the surrender side.
Read what you wrote.
Ask yourself:
What would happen if I stopped trying to control how this turns out?
That’s uncomfortable, isn’t it?
Good.
There’s probably something there.
You can burn the paper safely, tear it up, bury it, speak it aloud or simply sit quietly and hand it over to Spirit.
The ritual isn’t the magic.
Your decision is.
And then comes the bit I really love
After all of that releasing, we move into September with something beautifully practical.
Jupiter trines Saturn.
A trine is an astrological angular relationship. On this first exact trine, Jupiter is around 13°41′ Leo and Saturn around 13°41′ Aries.
Although you’ll see this aspect dated 31 August on many astrology calendars, the exact moment converts to approximately 8:17 am AEST on Tuesday 1 September in Brisbane.
And this is the first of three exact Jupiter Saturn trines. The next two occur in April and July 2027.
I bloody love the symbolism of that coming straight after the eclipse.
Jupiter says:
What could this become?
Saturn says:
Great. How are we going to build it?
There’s your manifestation lesson.
Not just dreaming.
Not just surrendering.
Not just hustling.
Vision with structure.
You’ve just spent the end of August sorting what needs effort from what needs release.
Now look at what’s left.
That’s what you build.
Your manifestation work for the end of August
By the time we leave this in-between space, I want you to have three things:
One thing you’ve changed.
Something practical that wasn’t working.
One thing you’ve released.
Something you’ve decided you are no longer going to chase, control or carry.
One thing you’re building.
A manifestation that matters enough to you that you’re willing to put structure underneath it.
And don’t make the last one enormous.
What’s the next actual step?
If you’re manifesting a book, maybe it’s writing the first 500 words.
If you’re manifesting a business, maybe it’s finally putting the offer together.
If you’re manifesting travel, maybe it’s opening the savings account.
If you’re manifesting love, maybe the first move has nothing to do with finding somebody and everything to do with changing what you’re prepared to accept.
That’s living deliberately.
Not sitting around waiting for the universe to drop your life at the front door.
And not trying to control every bloody detail either.
It’s knowing when to move.
Knowing when to stop.
Knowing when to trust.
And knowing when the dream needs you to get off your backside and build something underneath it.
Welcome to the in between
Maybe that’s why this strange little stretch at the end of August feels so significant.
We’re not quite where we were.
We’re not quite where we’re going.
The Leo eclipse has already shaken the tree.
Virgo comes along to see what survived.
Pisces asks us to stop clinging to what didn’t.
And Jupiter and Saturn leave us with one final question:
Now that you’ve cleared some space, what are you actually going to build there?
Don’t rush to answer it.
Feel it.
Then live deliberately enough to do something about it.
With so much love,
Linda Willow Roberts
Australia’s Manifesting Queen
